Our Purpose
   It is our purpose to worship and glorify God and His son Jesus Christ, learn His Word, teach it to others.  To pray for one another, lift one another up and to encourage one another in their faith and
daily life with the Lord. To work together to reach out to those who are in desperate need of a life changing relationship with God and His son Jesus Christ.
  Who we are
   We are an Independent, Baptist Church in the heart of Arlington, Texas, which believes and teaches the fundamentals of the Christian Faith. We are a loving family of people working towards the common goal of teaching people the Word of God and allowing Him to change them through His word. We love the people of Arlington, Texas and desire for them to be changed by a real encounter with Jesus Christ!
   We also faithfully support the Arlington Baptist College and we are members of the World Baptist Fellowship. We currently support over forty missionaries in various counties. There is a place for you at SCBC!
  Our history
   South Center Baptist Church was founded around 1969 by men and women of God who desired a place to worship, teach and preach the fundamental truths of the Word of God. It has stayed the test of time and has remained a shining light to the people of Arlington, Texas. Come be apart of our church and its future.
What we offer
   We provide a loving, family-friendly envoirment to come and learn about God, his son Jesus Christ and to worship and experience his presence. We have custom fit ministries for all age groups: adult, college and career, youth, children and even nursery with Sunday school classes for all ages. We also provide little church, where your child can have Church with children their own age and still hear the word of God taught in a way they can relate. We also have a fun and exciting Wednesday night Bible Club called, "The Kid's Prayer Club", an active youth group called, Vital Youth and indepth Adult Bible Study and prayer time. 
1. We believe the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, as the verbally inspired and infallible   Word of God.

2. We believe Jesus Christ was born of Mary the Virgin and is the Son of God and God the Son.

3. We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, the just for the unjust that He might bring us to God.

4. We believe that He rose from the grave the third day acording to the Scriptures.
  
5. We believe that He only is the great Priest, and we need not the intercession of any man, but that Christ ever liveth to make intercession for us.

6. We believe that Christ will come again in person, bodily, visibly to establish His kingdom on the earth.

7. We believe that in order to be saved, the soul must beborn again.  "Ye must be born again."

8. We believe that every truly born again soul should declare his faith by the act of baptism (immersion in water)setting forth the Lord's death, burial and resurection.

9. We believe that the church is a body of baptized believers whose only mission is, not to reform the world, but to preach and teach the Gospel of Salvation to the individual soul.
